We are currently seeking a meticulous individual with local experience who is passionate about Architectural Design. We seek to fill a full-time position at the intermediate level. Candidates must have a technical diploma, undergraduate or graduate-level degree in architecture from an accredited university, be able to legally work in Canada immediately, and be registered or eligible for professional registration with the Architectural Institute of B.C. Prepare technical drawings for Rezoning, Design Development, Building Permit;
Prepare Construction Contract Documents;
Assist in Code/Zoning Compliance Reviews;
Assist in Sustainability Compliance Reviews;
Organized and highly attentive to detail;
Good communication skills;
A passion for high-quality architectural design;
Able to work independently, take initiative and prioritize tasks;
Ability to work under tight deadlines;
Flexibility in changing design direction;
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a highly collaborative creative studio atmosphere.
3-5+ years of local work experience in British Columbia;
Excellent ability to draw in Revit and AutoCAD;
Knowledge of BC building code;
Familiarity with the City of Vancouver’s bylaws and processes an asset;
Experience in large scale residential and mixed-use projects an asset;
Ability to use 3D modeling software (Rhino) an asset but not required;

Project management: review and prepare technical drawings for Design Development, Building Permit;
Assist in driving project and team members to deadlines;
Assist in managing Client requests;
Coordinate Consultant Team;
Review and Prepare Construction Documents;
Perform Code/Zoning Compliance Reviews;
Perform Sustainability Compliance Reviews;
Assist in Administration of Construction;
Strong Team Leader: ability organize, prioritize and drive projects towards deadlines;
Organized and highly attentive to detail;
Excellent communicator;
Ability to working under tight deadlines;
Flexibility in changing design direction;
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a highly collaborative creative studio atmosphere.
Minimum 8+ years of total experience, at least 5 years in British Columbia;
Knowledge of BC Building Code;
Excellent communicator;
High level of Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit drawing production;
Experience in large scale mixed-use projects in British Columbia;
Experience in BC’s sustainable design coders and standards (LEED, BC Energy Step Code, ASHRAE 90.1), LEED/Passivhaus accreditation an asset but not required.
